Nabil’s leadership of the team brings a special sensitivity and responsiveness to this unique practice, with a fresh breath of Arabic and Australian aesthetic. Nabil Adhami Architect graduated from the University of Canberra with a major in interior architecture, has also studied in Finland and Thailand. His experience includes work on the many forms of boutique residential projects, diplomatic missions, Indoor sports facilities, government and private office accommodation , retail, and public buildings.
Nicole has completed her Bachelors Degree at Sydney University, and is in the process of completing her Masters at the University of Melbourne. Nicole began her journey in the Canberra office in 2011 working on a variety of residential projects both in Canberra, NSW, Sydney, and the South East Coast. Nicole is dedicated to quality design, producing beautiful drawings, and has developed as a pivotal contributor to the studio as a lead designer, and developing our 3D and 2D communication tools.
Marah Gerious joined our studio in 2016 with a strong focus on interior architecture with a passion for design and building client relationships. Marah's attention to detail is second to none, and her determination towards quality both in design and documentation has been welcomed by the team and continues to improve our communication skills. Marah's connection with Syria whilst being educated in Australia reinforces the studio's ability to blend eastern beauty with western pragmatism through our design thinking. Marah has completed her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Canberra, and is developing her skills as a project architect and ensuring the highest quality during the delivery phase of projects.
Lina Veloz joined our team in 2017, and has brought with her great enthusiasm and commitment to environmental design and Passiv Haus principles. Lina originally from Cuba is in the process of completing her Masters in Architecture in 2018, and hopes one day to be a certified Passiv Haus designer. Lina is always challenging the norm, enjoys the creative process, and loves to experiment with materiality both in the architectural form and spatial expression of interior spaces.
Anna Pender Architect
The founder of the practice, Anna Pender Architect has passed on a legacy that continues to manifest in the studio's growth in architectural thinking and practice today. Anna is a Sydney University medalist and a Fulbright Scholar, worked in the USA and on the Parliament House and TGA buildings in Canberra before establishing the practice in 1988. Although retired, Anna continues to contribute as a mentor to the studio.
